With elections fast approaching, predictions of opinion polls gaining much significance. After CNN IBN and NDTV predicted a clean sweep, the latest to join this bandwagon is India Today/Headlines Today/ Aaj Tak. The latest opinion poll conducted jointly, between April 2 to April 10, by India Today-Cicero (a research agency) gave thumbing majority to TDP-BJP alliance in Andhra Pradesh (Seemandhra).
According to the survey, TDP-BJP pact is likely to score between 17 to 21 Lok Sabha seats and it says that YSR Congress may confine to 7-11 Lok Sabha seats. Survey clearly stated that TDP-BJP alliance is going to get 36% of vote share whereas Jagan would get 24% votes. Political analysts, observers predicting similar results in Assembly polls as well. Whereas in Telangana, the survey predicts that TRS may win 6 to 10 Lok Sabha seats whereas incumbent Congress to pocket 4 to 6 Lok Sabha seats.
This is certainly music to the ears of TDP and BJP cadres in Seemandhra.
