Tension mounts at NIMS hospital

Hyderabad: Tension prevailed at NIMS hospital when pro-YSRC workers and pro-Telangana students gathered in numbers.

While YSRC activists alleged  that doctors,  at the behest of Kiran Kumar Reddy government, had  forcibly administered fluids to their fasting leader and raised slogans against the state government, pro-Telangana students raised  slogans in support of separate state of Telangana.

Hundreds of OUJAC students gathered to express their protest against the  indefinite hunger strike of YSRC President  Jagan  who began fast demanding  justice to coastal and Rayaseema regions. Jagan was on indefinite hunger strike since Sunday last in protest against move of Congress party to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh and demanding  justice to other regions. He was shifted to NIMS from Osmania General Hospital after his health deteriorated further.

Police personnel  on security duty intervened and brought the situation under control.
