Rahul to contest from Mahaboobnagar for MP seat?

Hyderabad: Information and Public Relations Minister DK Aruna urged Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi to contest from Mahaboobnagar (Palamuru)Lok Sabha constituency in the 2014 general elections.

DK Aruna along with Mallu Ravi met AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh in New Delhi. The meeting lasted for 15 minutes.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, she revealed that their discussion was over obliging Rahul Gandhi to contest from Palamuru Lok Sabha constituency. She requested Digvijaya Singh to persuade Rahul in this regard.

She exuded confidence that Congress candidates will get landslide victories in the coming elections as their long-cherished dream of Telangana is fulfilled by Congress. She further said they will show their gratitude by electing Rahul with huge majority. According to her, Digvijaya Singh was invited to Gadwal on October 29 to take part in ‘Jaitra Yatra’, a reciprocating event to thank Congress High Command for bestowing separate statehood to Telangana.

Meanwhile, BJP leader from Mahaboobnagar, Nagam Janardhana Reddy dared Sonia Gandhi and also Rahul Gandhi to contest against him.
“Congress party has no guts to field any candidate against me. So, finding no candidate, the Congress leaders were after Rahul Gandhi to make him contest from here. I am even ready to be in fray against Sonia Gandhi,” he said.
