Nara Lokesh to play a key role in TDP

Hyderabad: The TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu is said to be making all out efforts to see that the differences that had cropped up between him and the family members were ironed out.

According to party insiders, Naidu has been in touch with his brother-in-law and party politburo member N Harikrishna and was trying to sort out the differences that had cropped up recently. Efforts are on to see that Harikrishna and his son Junior NTR also will play an active role in the campaign, the party would like to launch soon.

Giving credence to this, Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh had a meeting with the youth leaders in the party on Saturday evening and discussed with them about the Yuva Saddassu (youth conferences) to be held soon, wherein he remarked that, the party youth wing should play major role in attracting the young voters.

“The party president Chandrababu Naidu, Balakrishna, Harikrishna and Jr NTR will take the responsibility of winning over the masses while the youth wing should focus on the young voters including the first time voters,” Lokesh said. It may be mentioned here that Hari Krishna has been keeping away from all party activities and meetings ever since he had resigned from Rajya Sabha opposing bifurcation of the State.

There were even speculations that he and Jr NTR would leave the party. He called upon the youth wing to constitute youth wings right up to the booth level. Stating that he would tour all the regions, Lokesh said he would not have any problem since he was born in Telangana, family stays in Rayalaseema and he was son-in-law of Andhra region.

Sources said that the party would hold its youth conferences in December. This will be the first step for Lokesh to play a key role in the party. It is also understood that he is getting lessons in public speaking.
