TRS Warned Congress, Hyderabad Sirf Hamara

Following strong speculation that Hyderabad city will be given Union Territory (UT) status after the bifurcation of state, the TRS on Sunday warned the centre that the party will launch another round of agitation with a slogan ‘Hyderabad Sirf Hamara’ if the state capital was not included in the telangana state.

The party President K Chandrasekhara Rao conducted a meeting with all his party senior leaders, MPs, MLAs and district party leaders at his farm house in Jagdevpur village in Medak district and discussed the developments taking place with regard to the formation of Telangana.

In the meeting, the party adopted unanimous resolution that Hyderabad would be part of telangana and remain the capital city of the new T state. The party will not accept the UT status to Hyderabad and also strongly opposed the proposal to make the city as common capital for both states permanently.

Addressing the press after the meeting, party senior leaders K Srihari and N Narasimha Reddy said the TRS wanted the Congress to abide by its decision  taken in the CWC (Congress Working Committee) on Telangana.

If the Congress violated the CWC endorsement on T state, the Telagnana party will launch agitation again.

To mount the pressure on the centre for the immediate introduction of T bill , party Chief KCR will launch bus yatra from Karimnagar and cover all 10 districts of telangana in the end of August. During the yatra, the party leader will also hold district and mandal level meetings, the leaders said it also decided to strength the party at gross root level in the coming days.

Strongly condemning the attacks on Congress leader VH Hanumantha rao during his visit to Tirupati and telangana employees working in seemandhra districts, the party warned dire consequences if such incidents are repeated  in future.

To a query, the leaders said no discussion was taken place on the reported Telangana JAC Chairman Kodandaram’s meeting with the Congress high command. They said the party did not take it a serious issue because it appeared in only in a section of media.
