Hyderabad: Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) had given green signal for the set up of another IT Hub in Hyderabad. Cabinet for Economic Affairs had given it’s nod for the set up of IT-Hub with an investment of Rs. 2.19 Lakh crores.
The Central government is likely to consider a proposal of earmarking Hyderabad as an Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR). Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) would be considering the central government’s decision.
Manufacturing units, Logistics, Public utilities, Environmental Protection, Housing and Governance-related services would be set up in Hyderabad if it has to be made an IITR.
More over, SEZs (Special Economic zones), Industrial Parks, Free-trade areas, Ware housing, Export Units etc would be set up in Hyderabad.
Making of Hyderabad as an IITR would be completed in two phases in a time span of 25 years in 50,000 acres of land. If hyderabad is made an IITR, additional 15 lakh Jobs would be created new.
Hyderabad is the fourth large IT exporter in our country, exporting 12.4% IT products. A turn over of Rs. 53,246 crores is recorded during 2011-12.
