Rounding off his two-day visit of the cyclone affected areas, YS Jagan Mohan flayed the state Government for its callous manner in attending to the needs of the farmers in distress and demanded immediate compensation besides other relief measures.
‘We demand that the government should pay a compensation of Rs 10,000 per acre to the farmers who lost their crops, waive all loans and provide new ones besides providing input subsidy for the next crop,’ he said after consoling the farmers who lost crops and livelihood at Saarva and Lakshmanaeswaram villages of Narsapuram mandal, Jagan said.
The Congress Government has always been found wanting when it comes to safeguarding the farmers’ interests and this time around it was no different. When the locals had poured their woes, Jagan has assured them that within four months YSRCP will come to power and farmers’ welfare will be of top priority. – See more at: http://www.gulte.com/news/23013/Jagan-confident-on-power-after-four-Months#sthash.dj0bVSVB.dpuf
