Hyderabad: Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy has reportedly told Seemandhra ministers and MLAs to wait until whether the purported Cabinet note on Telangana comes before the Union Cabinet during its meeting on Thursday.
The Chief minister advicsed them against taking extreme steps like resignations, as such a step will only help division of the state. Kiran told them he does not believe that the high-command will move forward unilaterally without the Antony Committee report.
However, Kiran concurred with the view that if the Telangana resolution is sent to the state Assembly, it shall be defeated. He advised the leaders to work collectively without indulging in cock fights.
The leaders met CM Kiran after a brain-storming session at the Club House in Ministers’ quarters.
The meeting at CM’s camp office also dwelt on the slogan “Save AP Save Congress,” coined at Wednesday’s ministers’ meeting at minister Anam’s residence.
The Seemandhra leaders’ meeting at CM’s place also raised the issue of holding meetings in districts. But no final decision has been taken.
