Supreme Court has given green signal for an investigation on Andhra Pradesh’s Director General of Police Dinesh Reddy. SC has ordered country’s premiere investigation agency CBI to look into the allegations raised on Dinesh by another Sr IPS officer Umesh Kumar.
Responding on the petition lodged by Senior IPS officer Umesh Kumar who accused that Dinesh Reddy has amassed huge wealth in illegal means, SC ordered CBI to investigate into the assets of AP DGP. Also, Umesh has filed a petition saying that Dinesh Reddy has conspired and implicated him into forgery case, only to prevent him from being DGP of Andhra Pradesh. However SC ruled out Umesh’s allegations on forgery case, and asked him to look that matter in trail court only, but the Justice felt that anyone who is facing allegations should face the inquiry and prove their innocence.
Ever since Dinesh Reddy was appointed as DGP of state, Umesh Kumar is fighting in tribunals and courts that he is senior and challenged the appointment of Dinesh Reddy. But before that, Umesh is heard stealing letter head of an MP through his journalist friend and has written severe accusations on Dinesh Reddy to Central Home Ministry. Currently this case is being investigated.
