The protests voluntarily taken up by Seemandhra people are not going to die down any sooner if we look at the way they are transforming on Day 24 of the act. Ever since Congress announced its decision to bifurcate the state on July 30th, Seemandhra people have taken it to roads to express their disappointment about the decision.
The ‘Laksha Gala Gosha’ (Anguish Of One Lakh Voices) that took place other day at Kurnool depicts the intensity of the movement taken up Seemandhra people, says a political observer. One of the biggest protests that have ever taken place to oppose bifurcation of AP, Kurnool city concluded the meeting peacefully demanding the state to be kept united. Also protests at all other cities and towns in Seemandhra are intensified, showing the Congress high command what blunder exactly they have done. Normal life came to a halt at most towns as people are taking up the agitation voluntarily and shutting down businesses, schools, colleges, government offices, private institutions and others.
Several JACs and NGO leaders are taking part actively everywhere in coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema, while AP NGOs are heading to Delhi within couple of days to meet Congress bosses and brief them up about the situation prevailing in Seemandhra and the feelings of Andhra people.
