SIIMA 2013 Winners List

The South Indian International Movie Awards(SIIMA) 2013 was held in the city of Sharjah, UAE. Here is the list of awards winners in each of the four Southern Industries…

Telugu: Gabbar Singh won almost the key awards like Best Actor (Pawan Kalyan); Best Actress (Shruti Haasan); Best Director (Harish Shankar); Best Conedian (Seenu); Best Music Diretor (Devi Sri Prasad) and Best Fight Choreographer. Eega bagged awards in the categories Best Film, Best Cinematographer (Senthil Kumar) and Best Actor in a Negative Role (Sudeep).

Tamil: Thuppakki, 3 and Kumki bagged four awards each. Best Actor and Best Actress awards have been bagged by Dhanush (3) and Hansika (OKOK) respectively.

Kannada: The film Addhuri won five awards. Best Actor and Best Actress awards have been bagged by Shivrajkumar (Shiva) and Priyamani Charulatha respectively.

Malayalam: Romantic drama ‘Thattathin Maraathu’ received three awards. Best Actor and Best Actress awards have been bagged by Mahanlal (Spirit) and Amala Paul (Run Baby Run) respectively.

TECHNICAL AWARDS:

Best Dance Choreographer: Telugu: Sekhar – Julai (Julai); Tamil: Gayathri Raghuram – Nila Nila (Aravaan); Kannada: Imran Sardhariya – Tumba Nodbedi (Anna Bond); Malayalam: Brinda – Aatumanal Payayil (Run Baby Run).

Best Fight Choreographer: Telugu: Ram Lakshman (Gabbar Singh); Tamil: Kecha (Thuppakki); Kannada: Ravi Verma (Krantiveera Songolli Rayanna); Malayalam: Kanal Kannan (Mallu Singh).

Best Cinematographer: Telugu: KK Senthil Kumar (Eega);  Tamil: Sukumar (Kumki); Kannada: Surya S Kiran (Addhoori); Malayalam: Sameer Thahir (Diamond Necklace).

MUSIC AWARDS:

Best Music Director: Telugu: Devi Sri Prasad (Gabbar Singh); Tamil: Harris Jayaraj (Thuppakki); Kannada: Arjun Janya (Romeo); Malayalam: Shaan Rahman (Thattathin Marayathu).

Best Lyricist: Telugu: Bhaskarabhatla Ravi Kumar – Sir Osthara (Business Man); Tamil: Dhanush – Kannazhaga (3); Kannada: AP Arjun – Ammate (Addhoori); Malayalam: Anu Elizabeth Jose – Muthuchuppi (Thattathin Maraathu).

Best Playback Singer (Male): Telugu: Thaman S – Sir Osthara (Business Man); Tamil: Dhanush – Kolaveri (3); Kannada: V Harikrishna – Tumba Nodbedi (Anna Bond); Malayalam: Vijay Yesudas – Mazha Kondu (Spirit).

Best Playback Singer (female): Telugu: Geetha Madhuri – Melkalu (Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu); Tamil: Saindhavi – Uyinn Uyire (Thaandayam); Kannada: Vani Harikrishna – Mussanje Veleli (Adhoori); Malayalam: Remya Nambeesan – Andalonde (Ivan Mefharoopan).

DEBUTANT AWARDS:

Best Debutant Actor: Telugu: Sudheer Babu (Siva Manasulo Sruthi); Tamil: Vikram Prabhu (Kumki); Kannada: Dhruva Sarja (Adhoori); Malayalam: Dulquer Salmaan (Second Show).

Best Debutant Actress: Telugu: Regina Cassandra (Siva Manasulo Sruthi); Lakshmi Menon (Sundarapandian); Kannada: Parul Yadav (Govindaya Namaha); Malayalam: Isha Talwar (Thattathin Marayathu).

Best Debutant Director: Telugu: Marathi (Ee Rojullo); Tamil: Karthik Subburaj (Pizza); Kannada: Pawan Wodeyar (Govindaya Namaha); Malayalam: Sugeeth (Ordinary).

Best Debutant Producer: Telugu: Maruthi (Ee Rojullo); Tamil: CV Kumar – Thirukumaran Entertainments (Attakathi); Kannada: KA Suresh (Govindaya Namaha); Malayalam: Siddharth Roy Kapoor & Ronnie Screwala (U TV Motion Pictures) – Grandmaster.
