Now, NTR Jr will feel the political heat.
The resignation of his father and Telugu Desam Party MP Nandamuri Harikrishna in support of the united-AP agitation has angered the Telangana protagonists.
The Osmania University Student Joint Action Committee has threatened to the stall movies of NTR Jr in Telangana region following his father’s decision to quit the Rajya Sabha and support the Samaikyandhra movement.
The OU Students have demanded that NTR Jr should spell out his stand on the Telangana statehood issue. Otherwise, the Telangana activists would not allow his movies to be screened in the theatres across the region.
NTR Jr starrer “Ramayya Vastaavayya” is set for release soon and there are fears that the ongoing agitations and counter-agitations would adversely affect the movie.
It remains to be seen how the young actor will wriggle out of the delicate situation.
Obviously, he would not like his movies to be disrupted in any part of the state because of political reasons.
At the same time, he cannot stop his father from taking a political stand on the issue. There are also reports that he would come out in support of his father in the ongoing war between Nara and Nandamuri families.
The threat of a ban on his movies comes at a very inopportune time for the popular actor as his family is already embroiled in a bitter friction with the TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu and his brother-in-law Nandamuri Balakrishna.
