Junior NTR is a powerhouse of talent and has done wonders in very young age itself. He is in late teens when he scored the first blockbuster. A decade ago, he was considered as the only contender for the top chair and many thought that he would take over the throne from Megastar Chiranjeevi. However, after ten years, NTR is struggling to prove his mettle and compete with the big guns Pawan and Mahesh.
After Simhadri, NTR has done fifteen films in ten years. Four of those films were termed as hits. And two out of those (Adurs and Badshah) didn’t bring profits to all those who invested in them. So in these ten years only two NTR films (Yamadonga and Brindavanam) scored at the box office. High expected films like Andhrawala, Dammu, Shakti and Ramayya Vastavayya ended up as flops and didn’t let NTR to conquer the top chair.
Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu’s craze has increased by leaps and bounds and Pawan Kalyan has bounced back with vengeance. Only Pawan and Mahesh are the contenders for the number one spot at this point. NTR badly needs at least two blockbusters to throw a challenge at these. Despite having tons of talent, NTR is failing only because of poor judgment skills. He is unable to raise the bar and blindly chasing the themes and directors of successful movies. It is high time for the Young Tiger for some retrospection and does the needful.
