Finally, the date has arrived for a memorable moment in the history of Telugu cinema. That’s the three generations of actors from the same family sharing the screen. It has happened only once in Indian cinema until now and the feat was achieved by Kapoor khandhan – Prithviraj Kapoor, Raj Kapoor and Randhir Kapoor with the movie ‘Kal Aaj Aur Kal’ which released in 1971.
History is repeating after 42 years with Akkineni family making the unbelievable happen – ANR, Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya coming together for Manam which is being directed by Vikram (Ishq fame). The trio will start shooting their combination scenes from September 9th.
Speaking about the Akkineni multistarrer, ANR says finding a script for such a combination is an herculean task but Director Vikram managed to come up with a highly entertaining subject. He,however, turns down the request of his fans to appear in a duet keeping his age in mind.
Nagarjuna reveals that the script has been filled with so many light-hearted moments between the trio to make it a laugh riot. He went on to say Chaitu will be very nervous with the idea of sharing screen space with him and his grandfather for the first time.
Naga Chaitanya admits being excited and nervous at the same time. He, however, is confident of getting over that jitters after the first few days of their combination scenes.
