Bol Bachan starring Ajay Devgan and Abhishek Bachan had tasted a bitter part even after their movie has released. The movie was one of the most-anticipated comedy films of 2012, has opened to good response at the Box Office in Northern part of India. However, Rohit Shetty didn’t realize that his film might be affected by a south Indian movie. “Eega”, a telugu movie directed by south Indian successful director SS Rajamouli with no flops in his list was also released yesterday.
Bol Bachchan registered just 60% to 70% occupancy in the morning shows in both single screens and multiplexes across India. It received very good response in Mumbai circuits with its occupancy ranging between 70% and 85%. But the movie was expected to get even better opening across the country.
The Bollywood movie is facing a set back due to the Eega. Bol Bachan is expected to collect Rs 8 crores to Rs 10 crores on the first day of its release. However, SS Rajamouli’s Telugu movie Eega which was anticipated to be a record breaker and trend setter in Indian movies did proved that. The special effects had created lot of curiosity among movie lovers. The movie has received overwhelming response at the Box Office in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and USA where almost every theatre is running houseful.
Analysts comment that, Rohit Shetty who was aware of South India should have waited after Eega shows its magic, before he releases his movie.
