Media vs KCR who will win?

dia vs KCR who will win

dia vs KCR who will win

When Telugu news channels TV9 (Sneha Publications), ABN Andhrajyothy (Amoda Broadcasting) banned  in the month of June, it got less coverage on national media. TRS Govt buoyed with it kept silent on the whole issue even though TV9 and ABN Andhrajyothy tendered their apologies with in few days of the ban.

Even after the passage of two months nothing happened even when Union Information Ministry sought reply from TRS Govt. However when KCR spit venom on media threatening them to salute to survive in Telangana or get buried in 10 km deep down the earth, his comments caught national attention and entire national media tore apart his vitriolic statements.

However KCR and his team of ministers and MPs remained adamant. NBA today asked KCR not to play with media and asked to show respect refraining from making derogatory statements. Now the battle between Media and KCR reached climax. Everyone is wondering who will win the bitter battle between Media and KCR.

Till recently KCR and his Telangana Government had upper hand since no one came in strong support of The two channels. But with KCR making those strong statements, entire national media awoke and are now determined to fight for their rights. This is not the end as battle lines are drawn now and more twists and turns will occur in future.

It’s Tummala’s mistake Not mine – KCR

TDP senior leader Tummala Nageswara Rao from Khammam joined TRS party in the presence of Telangana CM KCR at the party office in the district. During the function held at TRS head quarters, he and his supporters were welcomed grandly by TRS leaders.

Speaking at the function KCR said he planned to organise big meeting at Nizam grounds but Tummala committed a mistake by deciding to join the party at party office in Khammam. He said many people thronged the place and double the strength were present outside the office.

He thanked all of them for supporting the party. Tummala said he will work along with KCR to develop Telangana and make it cross Gujarat in development.

Tummala sleeping all these days?

Tummala sleeping all these days

Tummala sleeping all these days

Tummala Nageswara Rao, who jumped into TRS from TDP, shed “crocodile” tears and expressed his dissent over the merging of Mandals of Khammam into truncated Andhra Pradesh as part of the Polavaram Irrigation Project. He didn’t stop there but lamented, “The curses of people of those Mandals will haunt the people of Andhra Pradesh.”

The ridicule doing the rounds on social platforms is that “What was Tummala doing all these days? Was he sleeping? He hasn’t opened his mouth earlier when he was in TDP and how come he picked up this slogan soon after wearing a pink shawl?” wrote a person on social network.

It may be recalled that the decision to include 7 Mandals of Khammam into AP was taken by the UPA II government and the same was drafted in the AP Reorganization Bill 2013 which was cleared in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha in the presence of then MP TRS Chief KCR. NDA-led BJP has just implemented the Telangana Bill approved by previous government. How come now TRS and Tummala crying foul?

Why Vijayawada Is Unbeatable?

Why Vijayawada Is Unbeatable?

Why Vijayawada Is Unbeatable?

Finally, the confusion on the capital for Andhra Pradesh has been settled with CM Chandrababu Naidu announcing Vijayawada as the place. Here are some good reasons why the city is unbeatable..

– Guntur to Vijayawada is 36 kms and Vijayawada to Ibrahimpatnam is 18 kms, so total 54 kms. Similarly, Tenali to Mangalagiri is 25 kms and Mangalagiri to Vijayawada is 12Kms, so total 37 kms. Vijayawada to Kankipadu is 15kms and Vijayawada to Hanuman Junction is 45Kms. So, if Vijayawada- Guntur is declared as capital a total of 60 kms radius will develop within 5 years.

– VTPS is there for Power and River Krishna is there for water. There is also the Pulichintala Project.

– If Polavaram gets completed then Krishna will get Godavari’s water also.

– Airport is there in Gannavaram and south India’s biggest railway junction is Vijayawada.

– Asia’s second biggest bus stand is in Vijayawada.

– Machilipatnam port is very near.

– Nuziveedu has got 30000 acres of forest land which can be denotified.

– Best road network to Hyderabad, Chennai and Kolkata.

– Vijayawada is equidistant from all areas in the state with proper transport and road network.

While all this is fine, there is a major concern that cannot be avoided. If 60 kms of radius has to develop around Vijayawada it has to sacrifice lots of land. And most of it is fertile. So, at the cost of thousands of acres of greenery and agriculture, the name of development is taken. Are we looking at an ecological disaster here?

Lord Buddha was born in Nepal: PM Modi

Lord Buddha was born in Nepal: PM Modi

Kathmandu: The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi repeatedly referred to Nepal’s unharnessed natural resources during his parliament speech in Kathmandu, August 3, 2014 however, for having failed to convince Nepal sign Power Trade Agreement and Upper Karnali Project Development Agreement on its own terms and conditions, he must have been highly disappointed.

Nepal perhaps for the first time hinted India that agreements must be on equal terms and conditions.

“We do not want electricity for free. We want to buy it. We also do not want to take your water. By selling power only to India, you can become a developed nation,” said the Indian Prime Minister.

But why the price has been in your set terms then?

With India asking for more time to review the amendment proposed by Nepal in the draft unilaterally prepared by India, the possibility of signing the deal has been indefinitely postponed, confirm reports.

While India under a generic framework had proposed an ‘Energy Cooperation Agreement’ to allow it harness Nepal’s entire hydropower potential by barring third countries, after much hue and cry from the stakeholders, the government of Nepal had proposed amendment to limit the agreement to power trade only.

During the course of his eloquent speech, that it was indeed, made in Hindi that majority Nepalis are familiar with, the Indian Prime Minister announced USD 1 Billion as Concessional Line of Credit without Nepal even forwarding a formal request.

Pea nut amount but yet not bad as PM Modi took Nepal as a beggar that she is.

The Indian Premier said, “I would like to declare it right here that India has decided to provide Nepalese rupees 10,000 crore as concessional line of credit. Nepal on its own can spend this on its priorities. You can invest this in hydropower and areas of infrastructure development. This is separate from the previous assistance that India has already provided to Nepal.”

With India in the past repeatedly providing same projects and supports under various categories and at different time interval used to create confusion among the Nepali population and also being criticized for its strange acts, this time though Modi’s declaration that the amount being provided by India was a separate one has helped to wipe out confusion if any.

More than anything else, Modi’s affirmation that Gautam Buddha was born in Nepal and his repeated reference to Buddha during his speech has won the Nepali hearts.

It is also to be seen in the days ahead if Modi will be allowed by his own bureaucracy to implement his HIT strategy for Nepal.
